Dianne Feinstein's Betrayal of Progressive Causes Makes Her the Worst Senator Ever

It's easy to lay blame at the feet of right wing nuts like Sam Brownback. Even worse, however, are those senators who claim to represent progressives, but go and cave in to the Republicans whenever George W. Bush says boo!

Dianne Feinstein supported starting the war in Iraq, and lectured antiwar Democrats about how wonderful it all would. Now, Dianne Feinstein is supporting the confirmation of Michael Mukasey. Shame on her.

Dianne Feinstein brings betrayal against California Democrats to a new level

Dianne Feinstein has voted for the FISA Amendments Act - a law that authorizes government spying outside of the control of the FISA court.

Senator Feinstein claims that the FISA Amendments Act protects civil liberties, but as someone who has actually read the law, I can state quite clearly that it does not protect our constitutional rights. The law gives the Attorney General the sole power to declare, without any court's power to stop it, that the spy programs are legal.

Now guess who runs the spy programs. That's right: It's the Attorney General!

Dianne Feinstein's support for the FISA Amendments Act is an unforgivable violation of trust.
